Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 8, 2026

Overview

KidTrack ("we," "our," or "us") is a family activity tracking application designed to help children develop healthy habits under parental supervision. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and their families. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how parents can manage or delete their family's data.

🔒 COPPA Compliance Notice

KidTrack is designed for use by children under the age of 13 under direct parental supervision. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent. A parent or guardian must create the family account and add their children. By creating a family account, the parent provides consent for their children's use of the app.

Information We Collect

Parent account information

Email address and password used to create the family account. We use this for authentication only.

Child's profile

A display name chosen by the parent. We do not collect the child's real name, date of birth, email, or any contact information.

Activity data

Session records including activity type, start time, duration, and points earned. This data is tied to the family account and visible only to family members.

Device data

Push notification tokens (if enabled by the parent) to deliver reward approval notifications. We do not use these for advertising.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the activity tracking and reward features of the app
  • To authenticate family members and enforce data isolation between families
  • To send push notifications about reward approvals (if enabled)
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
  • We do not use children's data for advertising or marketing purposes
  • We do not use behavioral tracking or analytics on children's accounts

Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL), a SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure provider. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Row-level security policies ensure that each family can only access their own data — no family can view another family's information.

Parental Rights & Controls

As a parent, you have the right to:

  • Review all data associated with your family account at any time
  • Edit or delete your child's display name
  • Delete your entire family's data by contacting us
  • Withdraw consent and close your account at any time
  • Request a copy of all data we hold about your family

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@kidtrack.app

Data Retention

We retain family data for as long as the account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including all children's profiles, activity sessions, and reward history — is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy
